Smart fashion, virtual clothing, sustainable transition and innovative raw materials were trending during this #ParisFashionWeek. There is a lot of exciting opportunities for brands thanks to fashion tech and circularity adoption.
LA CASERNE, EUROPE’S LARGEST SUSTAINABLE FASHION HUB

LA CASERNE opened its 4000m2 space dedicated to the ecological transition of the fashion & luxury industry. Residents have access to a 3-year program of masterclasses and private events to accelerate the sustainable transition of the industry. Kering and Aigle are among the incubator’s partners.
La Caserne has co-working spaces, a showroom of responsible and innovative raw materials, a FabLab, a photo studio, a vegetarian restaurant and a green rooftop great for encounters.
“Creativity is born from constraints, and tomorrow’s designers are the ones who know it.” – said Maeva Bessis, CEO of La Caserne, to London News Time.
ARIANEE PARTNERS WITH TOP FASHION BRANDS TO DEVELOP MARKET-LEADING NFT PROGRAMS
`”Arianee co-designed 100 digital looks as 1,200 NFTs for the AZFactory “Love Brings Love” tribute show of late designer Alber Elbaz. Guests of the show had the chance to claim and experience these digital looks with a simple scan displayed on the AZ Factory Collector’s Book. The collection can be discovered on Opensea marketplace.”
Ownership of NFTs works in a top-level funnel: members of a community have loyalty rewards and access to special drops of collectibles.
FASHION TECH

VIRTUAL CLOTHING
Digitally generated outfits are here to stay. Digital garments and avatar “skins” are the way to express the digital self when interacting in games & meetings.
ON DEMAND FASHION
The Made-To-Order production model reduces waste & economical constraints, but also enables traceability, automation and the adoption of 3D modeling.
SMART FASHION
Retailers and marketplaces are widely adopting AR to enable customers to try products virtually. Snapchat and Instagram virtual lens are leading AR marketing campaigns.
INNOVATION THROUGH DESIGN: PREMIERE CLASSE, MAN/WOMAN, SPHERE AND TRANOÏ TRADESHOWS
Emerging brands and award-wining designers, selected for their creativity and potential, innovated with textiles based on seaweed, recycled plastic or upcycled cassette tapes.
Among them, Arturo Obegero, Mossi, Benjamin Benmoyal, Studio Valette, Thebe Magugu, and Main d’Œuvre, winner of the Innovation prize. Also, Nu Atelier, winner of the Jury prize in the Village des Créateurs’ 2020 Fashion Talent competition, Lou Chartres and Sarah Bounab, winners of the Fashion HEAD 2020 x Premiere Classe prizes in accessories and ready-to-wear. The last two entries are those of MII, the brand that received the Grand Prix Mode de la Création 2020 from the city of Paris, and Tarian, awarded a Silmo d’Or.
LIVE SHOPPING
House of Tribes led a live shopping experience during it’s B2B event Undisclosed, with French brands and Chinese influencers at Taobao Live.
DIGITAL RUNWAYS
As many international buyers could not come to Paris, Tranoï renewed its streaming studio for live presentations for 15 to 30 minutes.

1.618 PARIS, THE SUSTAINABLE LUXURY AT PRINTEMPS HAUSSMANN
The biggest sustainable brands showroom in Paris opened its corner at Printemps Haussman. A whole community of change-makers and experts in identifying “greenwashing” in the fashion, jewelry and beauty industry, have curated a luxury ethical brands showcase.
